We have all heard stories of vampires that lurk in the night, and some have even been warned of vampires that lurk in your very neighborhood. But who really believes in those fantasies anymore? They're only folk tales told to frighten children into staying indoors and night, and stories to keep people from being irrational and doing the same... right?
Wrong.
Centered in downtown Tokyo, Japan, 2025, where there are millions of people going about their daily lives, is a vampire coven. The Cruentus Victus. It is nestled and hidden from outsiders, and has never taken kindly to nomadic vampires or even just vampires wandering through. It is run by the strikingly lovely but dangerous Ren, and there are more vampires wandering and mingling in the streets of Japan than the average person would be able to sleep at night knowing.
This is where the Cardei family comes in. They are an elite vampire hunting family transplanted directly from the vampire motherland – Romania. Having nearly eradicated the vampires in Europe and surrounding countries by now, they have moved to Japan, the next vampire central. This family has spent generations and generations, going back to nearly the dawn of vampires, killing the 'foul creatures' and doing it all without the oblivious general public knowing other wise. It is for their own safety, after all.
Whether you are a member of the Cruentus Victus coven, a surviving member of the Cardei family, a peaceful human going about their day, or even just a nomadic vampire passing through, the question you must ask yourself is:
