[/color] Ronnie asked smiling at him. She wanted to know what he thought. If he wanted, they could do that sometimes. Get away to different states. It's a great way to see the world. She knew her dad wouldn't mind if she used his credit card. He would pay it and not ask questions. That's why he gave her the card. In case she wanted to get away.
Ronnie's mom had tried to commit suicide and her dad immediately called her. Of course, Ronnie disliked her mom and part of her wanted her to of actually gone through with trying to kill herself but part of her didn't want her to have gone through with it. She was thankful her dad stopped her from doing that but part of her wanted him to have not stopped her. She knew that it was a bad idea for her to think that but she couldn't help it. Her mom screwed up her child hood and she hated her for that. But now that this happened, maybe she should change her mind. Her dad had called her and he said that her mom wanted her to come to see her. Ronnie told her dad that she would think about it and that's what she did. She talked to Mason and Mason said that he would go with her. She also found out that he had never been out of California so this was going to be fun.
Two days later, Ronnie and Mason headed to the airport. Ronnie was somewhat excited to go back home. She missed her dad and she couldn't say the same about her mom. But she was a little bit happy to see her mom. Although she knew what would most likely unfold while she was there. She was anticipating her mom and she to get into a bit fight while she was there. They made it to the airport and went through everything and patiently waited. When she got on the plane she was extremely nervous. In a few hours she was going to see her dad again. She couldn't wait. During the plane ride, Ronnie had fallen asleep against Mason._--_ During the week _--_
While Ronnie and Mason were in NYC, they stayed at her parent's house. Her dad let them stay in the same room. Her dad knew that he had no control over what she did. Ronnie filled her dad in on what had been going on at college and everything. She ended up going to the hospital that night to see her mom, with Mason. And just as she predicted, the first few minutes was perfectly fine, and then Ronnie said something stupid, well what she would consider stupid, and her mom flipped out on her and started calling her names and telling her to rot and die in hell. She knew that if her mom had been able to get out of the bed she would have slapped her.
Ronnie needed to get out of the hospital so she dragged Mason out of the room and out of the hospital. She couldn't believe her mom would do this, especially in front of Mason. She liked Mason and she didn't want him to be scared off by her mom. She had apologized over and over to Mason for how her mom had acted. Ronnie walked all the way back to her father's house. It wasn't that far of a walk. It was only a few blocks. When Ronnie got to her dad's house, she went into the kitchen and grabbed a Coors Light from the fridge and started to drink. She needed to forget about this night. This is why she hated to come home.
While they were there, for the week, Ronnie took Mason to Times Square, Central Park, The Sex Museum, The Wax Museum, Rockefeller Center (she even took him ice skating), and she managed to snag tickets to see "In the Heights" on Broadway. She wanted to see that for a long time and now she was able to. She wanted to make this trip memorable for Mason. She knew that she wouldn't come back for a while. And that night she told her dad that. She apologized and her dad understood. Her and and she had a heart to heart talk and she missed those talks._--_ A week later _--_
Ronnie's dad drove them to the airport and when Ronnie said good bye to her dad, she cried. She did this when she left for College. She hated saying goodbye to her dad. She loved her dad with all her heart and if anything ever happened to him, she wouldn't forgive herself. After she let go of her dad, they boarded the plane. It took a while for Ronnie to stop crying. She ended up falling asleep, listening to her music. For some reason, planes made her sleepy.
When she woke up, she realized she was home. She was happy to be back in California. She loved seeing her dad but she loved being in California better. Getting off the plane, Ronnie smiled. As much as she loved New York, she was glad to be back in Sunny California. Ronnie looked at Mason, "So Mase, what did you think of New York City?"
