SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie grabbed her criminal justice book for a bit of homework and her notebook to take some notes. Ronnie couldn't concentrate in her dorm room. There was too much going on in her room and there were a lot of things to distract her. She knew that if she was in her room she would not concentrate on her reading and would be on her computer, on facebook rather then doing her work. So Ronnie knew she had to control her urges but being in her room, she wouldn't be able to do that. She grabbed her cell and made her way to the lounge.
Ronnie was usually very quiet. Kept to herself a lot in between classes and didn't have many friends. Because of who her mom is, that forced her to move across the country with out any friends. Not that she had any when she lived with her parents. Most of her former friends were afraid of Ronnie's mom. Ronnie never got along with her mom and she was closer to her dad then she was with her mom. She hasn't been home in about two years because she would end up killing her mom if she was there.
Ronnie made it to the lounge and she found a quiet spot to do her work. She uncapped her pen and opened her note book to the first clean page. She had to read two chapters and they were pretty long chapters. Luckily she had two days to do it before she had her class again. Ronnie found the chapter she needed to read and began reading, taking down notes here and there. It was like she was in another world. Like there was no one around her and she was alone. But she knew she wasn't.

There was something he was supposed to be doing at that moment but he couldn’t remember…it was important he did remember that fact. Mason looked out over at him clock on the night stand, 2:30.“Shit!” he yelled jumping off him bed, he had promised his friends he would meet them at the Palm court. He had told them that he would be there by 3:00. He was half way to the door before realizing he couldn’t leave his room looking as he was in his boxers and t-shirt. He knew his friends would be pissed that he was late and he couldn’t blame him, he had said he would be out at 3. He didn’t understand how time could’ve gotten away from him so fast. He sighed, before heading to him closet to pick out something to wear. It took him fifteen minutes to choose what to wear, and another five to put it on. He had decided on him t-shirt, a pair of blue jean.
He was running a comb through his hair when his roommate and his roommate’s girlfriend walked in. “I’ll be out in a second,” he called from the bathroom, “I just gotta find my shoes.” He remembered he had kicked them off when he walked in from his calculus class yesterday, but he didn’t know where they went. He checked under him bed but didn’t see them there. He checked the closet, but didn’t see them there either. He stood up and let out a sigh of frustration, before noticing them by the door. He picked them up and headed out the door.
Mason arrived at Palm Court a little before 3:00 out of breath from running. He looked around, but didn’t see any of his friends around. “Just like them, to always be late.” He groaned. He didn’t even know why he bothered, his friends were always late, it quite sucked. He was just about leave when he first saw her. He had seen her the campus before, but never really talked to her. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to, but he just never had the chance. He slowly made his way towards her, contemplating what to say to him. Finally reaching her he smirked, “Hey.”

SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie was glad that she had finally gotten some peace and quiet. She really needed to get her reading done and being in her dorm room, there were too many distractions. Her roommate, her computer, her music, her phone. She left everything in her dorm and only brought herself and her books. She had to "discipline" herself and then give herself rewards for getting things done. Ronnie wasn't exactly sure how long she was actually there reading but she realized that she had finished the first chapter. Ronnie had learned a lot by reading the chapter. She was proud of herself. She usually was distracted. That's why her dad told her that she had ADD. Although she was never diagnosed with ADD, she believed that she really did have ADD.
Ronnie heard someone talk to her. It didn't sound like a female, it sounded like a male which was strange because guys never, ever came up and talked to her. Ronnie closed her book and looked up. She was speechless. The guy was cute. But what caught her eye was the beautiful blue eyes. Ronnie realized that she hadn't said anything and that made her look like an idiot, "H-Hey. I'm Ronnie, short for Veronica. I despise that name so I shortened it," Ronnie said. She blushed realizing that he probably didn't care why she shortened her name. Way to go Ronnie. The first guy to talk to you and you're going to chase him away from you. Ronnie thought. She closed her notebook and looked back up at the guy in front of her.

Mason’s smirked grew wider. He could tell she was nervous, and let a small laugh lose. She was cute, he noticed, his eyes traveling up her body. He definitely liked what he was seeing. She had beautiful brown hair, and a smoking body. Not wanting to seem like the pervert some people believed he was, he opened his mouth to speak, “Hey Ronnie, I’m Mason.” It wasn’t a secret that he Mason loved the ladies, or that the ladies loved Mason. This wasn’t him being vain; he had had his way with a good bit of the girl in the school. Yea, he would sometimes feel bad about that, but then he would shrug it off, it wasn’t like the girls had come to him unwillingly and he was forcing them to sleep with him.
Mason took a seat beside her and took a look at her book, “Criminal Justice? You studying to be a cop?” he asked. It wasn’t everyday he found a girl studying criminal justice; actually it wasn’t even every other day that you found a girl who studied that. He was quite intrigued. Girls in criminal justice were e as rare as girl in his major, engineering. He had to commend her for that, Mason was big on equality when it to men and women, call it being a product of being raised by the leftovers of the hippie counter culture. He smiled at the thought of his parents. He had grown up in a big family, the youngest of 12 kids (his parents didn’t believe in birth control) in southern California. He missed his parents sometimes, but he enjoys his independence a lot more.

SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie heard the guy let out a laugh and she blushed. She felt like she was back in high school, with a crush on the popular jock. She hated being so unfamiliar with this area. She heard what he said and she smiled, "It's a pleasure to meet you Mason," Ronnie said smiling at him. Ronnie scooted over on the couch to make room for him in case he wanted to sit. Ronnie remembered what Vanessa said. She had to be bold. Not show that she was afraid and nervous. It would be hard though, because that's just how she was. She was naturally nervous around guys. Unsure of how guys would react to her.
She heard what he asked as he sat down. She ran her hand through her hair, "Sorta. I want to be a detective in Special Victims. In order to become a detective I have to be a cop for about 5 years. But I sorta know people who can help me become a detective earlier," Ronnie said smiling at the thought of becoming a detective. "I really like helping people and I thought about studying Law but I really want to do Special Victims. So I talked to my dad's friend and he told me what I should major in." Ronnie looked over at Mason, "So what are you majoring in?" Ronnie wondered what he was studying. It was interesting to see what other people in the college were majoring in.

Truth be told he missed half of what she said but he did catch the tail end of it. “I really want to do Special Victims. So I talked to my dad's friend and he told me what I should major in." He nodded at that. “Oh I wanna be an engineer.” He said to answer her question about his major. “I’ve always been good at math and science, and well, nothing else seemed to fit what I wanted to do with my life, well that and they make a pretty good amount of money.” He shrugged. It was true what he said about none of the other majors really fitting him. He had tried just about everything, from Humanities, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences, to Arts and Architecture. He hadn’t completely hated the last one, but it still wasn’t his forte. Then roughly about his sophomore year, he decided to take a stab at Engineering, and well lord and behold, he had found his niche. He loved it. It was challenging, yet not to challenging. Sure it had its boring classes, but what major didn’t.
He looked around looking to see if any of his friends had shown up yet. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to spend time with Ronnie, quite the opposite actually; he wanted to spend more time with her. She seemed like a really interesting person and deep down he wanted to get to know her better. He ran a hand through his hair, and looked her over once more. She really was a pretty girl. Prettier than most the girls, he had slept with. He shook his head trying not to let his mind go down that road. “So…” he said, unsure what to say.

Ronnie heard what he said and she looked at him, "An engineer seems pretty cool. You can build your own house if you want to when you're older right?" Ronnie said smiling softly. She thought being an engineer was pretty cool. She never knew someone who wanted to be an engineer but she thought it was awesome. She was going to have to go back to her room and read up on engineering now. Sure she was smart but sometimes she felt like she was a little bit blond. Suddenly she didn't feel like reading her chapters that she had to read by tomorrow.
Ronnie looked at Mason when he said 'so.' Ronnie put her books on the table and curled her feet under her, "So... what brought you here? Because I'm pretty sure you didn't come here just to talk to me. Actually I'm sure you didn't come here to talk to me because I highly doubt you knew I was here," Ronnie really wanted to get to know him better. But she didn't want to bore him to death. She really liked him. She thought he was really hot and maybe date him later on in the year. If he wanted to leave, she wasn't going to stop him.

authors note: this is the worst thing i've ever written officially. sorry about that.Mason made himself comfortable on the couch next to Ronnie. “Yea, I did think about that. But I don’t think I’m going to do it. It would become too personal I think.” He shrugged. Running a hand through his hair he began to answer her question. “Um, well I was supposed to meet a couple of friends of mind, but they hadn’t showed up yet.” He didn’t know where the hell they were, they probably forgot about the meeting. It wouldn’t have surprised him if they had. He almost did after all.
“You’re right, I didn’t know you were here, but I don’t mind talking to you instead.” He leaned in closer towards her, “You’re way prettier than they are anyways.” He flashed her a smile. He knew he was flirting with her, but in short didn’t care. Flirting was one of his favorite pass times, and he thoroughly enjoyed doing it. “So…you in a sorority Ronnie?”

SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie heard what he said about why he was there in the first place. She wished that she had friends who she hung out with on a regular basis. She usually only hung out with Bliss or Vanessa and that wasn't that often. She hardly had time to hang out with them though because she usually was busy doing work for her classes. She had a lot work every night because of what she was majoring in. It had a lot of reading to do and the book was so think and she had to take notes. She hated taking notes because it made her hand cramp and it took forever and write down everything important. Usually she just printed out what she typed and then she would paste it into her note book.
She heard what he said about her and she blushed, "Well thanks... I'm glad you think I'm pretty. That's the first complement I've gotten from a guy other then my dad," Ronnie said. It was true. Her dad usually told her she was pretty and that any guy would be a fool not to date her. To hear a guy, whom she just met, say that she was pretty, made her blush and smile. She heard what he asked and she looked at him, "Delta Gamma,"

“Tau Kappa Epsilon President at your service,” He said giving her a mock salute. Of course he couldn’t keep the straight face that accompanied the salute, and then proceeded to burst in to a laughing spell. Gathering himself together he sat up, still smiling. He looked around; they were the only ones at the Palm Court. He wondered if she went to the party that was at the TKE house a few days ago. He hadn’t seen her there, but then again Mason was kind of busy getting to know the keg, and the girls hanging out around the keg. He didn’t think he slept with any of them…he hoped he didn’t sleep with any of them. That would bad…really bad. But then again there was a huge part of the night that he couldn’t remember. He REALLY hoped he hadn’t slept with any of them, but God did he enjoy a good party. It was definitely one of his favorite parts of college.
He shook his head to clear his thoughts, his smile dropping just a second, at the thought of his recent escapades. Focusing his attention back on her he gave her another smile. ."So Ronnie, tell me about yourself?" he said moving a piece of her hair that fallen in her face. He was waiting for her answer when his phone rang, “Hold that thought,” he said reaching for his phone. He checked the caller i.d. and realized it was his sister. He sighed, not really wanting to deal with his sister, but knowing that he had to or she would get his mother to yell at him, and well, he really didn’t want to deal with that right now..
Mason picked up the phone, “Hi Jesse, I’m kind of in the middle of something right now. No Jess, I didn’t call nana yet, yea I will. I gotta go, Can I call you back later? yea, okay byes.” He hung up the phone to not waiting to hear what else his sister would say. He knew his sister would be pissed, but he was okay with that. He really did hate talking to his sister on the phone. Actually, he hated talking to anyone on the phone, “Now what’s upio?”

SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie heard what he said and she saw him give a mock salute. She burst into a fit of giggles. She could feel tears gathering in her eyes. She hadn't laughed this hard in forever. Finally, after a while, she stopped laughing. She wiped away the tears that were falling down her face from laughing so hard. She finally calmed down and looked at him smiling. She had seen him around campus and at a couple of parties but she had been too nervous to talk to him. He had always been by the keg and surrounded by girls. She never had the courage to be one of those girls who surround themselves around him and drink.
She heard what he asked and she felt him moving a strand of hair from her face. She blushed and she went to answer him when she heard his phone go off. Ronnie scratched the back of her head nervously. She was never good about telling people about herself. She didn't even know how to begin. It was going to be interesting. But she was ready for it. She listened to his conversation, even though she really shouldn't. She didn't know he had a sister. Since he asked about her, she was going to ask about him. It was only fair, she thought. She didn't know if he would answer her but she hoped he would.
She saw him hang up the phone and she sighed. "So you want to know about me? Alright I'm not that interesting," Ronnie said softly. Ronnie gathered her thoughts together, "Well, my name is Veronica Miller, as you know but people have been calling me Ronnie since I was little. Umm... I didn't really have any friends in school because they were all afraid of my mom. I've never had a boyfriend because no one has gotten the chance to know me,"
Ronnie said softly, "I've been singing since I was little. I love to perform. I love to write songs and I love to write poems. I'm a daddy's little girl and I'm proud of it. So don't make fun," Ronnie added threateningly, of course she was joking. "So... tell me about your self Mr. President." Ronnie said with a smile, stealing his sun glasses and putting them on over her eyes. Mason smirked at her calling him Mr. President, “Um, well I’m the second youngest of 7 kids, and we live in South California. I have 4 sisters, Harley, Morgan, Cayden, and Jesse as well as 2 brothers, Cameron, and Aiden. Cayden and Aiden are twins if you can’t tell by the names.” There were days when he hated coming from a large family. Actually most days he hated coming from a big family. He was always getting over looked, and not always being heard. Being the second youngest didn’t help either. “My siblings and I are the result of the hippie counter culture,” he continued, “and while it made for an interesting childhood I can’t say that I would prefer to live it twice.” He wouldn’t mind if he did, I mean he did love his family very much all 9 of them.
Mason ran a hand through his hair, “My favorite color is purple, I know not the most masculine color in the world, but I love it.” He sighed wistfully, “I remember the day it become my favorite. I was in the 3rd grade, and I saw this purple crayola marker. And I thought to myself wow that’s and amazing color. And I drew this amazing picture with it. I think my mama still has it in somewhere in the house.” He let out a small laugh, “I’m sorry I’m rambling.”

SO WHAT I'M STILL ,,a * r o c k s t a r !
Ronnie listened to Mason. He definitely has a big family Ronnie thought. Ronnie used to wish she had a big family, or at least a younger sibling. But she was glad that she didn't have to share her dad. She didn't know if she would be able to do that. So for now, she was glad that she was an only child. Ronnie looked at him, "I bet being the second youngest you get jipped out of everything huh?"
Ronnie said softly. She had a few family members who were the youngest and they hated it. Ronnie didn't know if this was true for all families but it seemed to be a pattern so far. Ronnie heard him say his favorite color was purple. She smiled. Her favorite color was purple also. There was no reason for it but it just calmed her down. "I like purple too. It's a calming color. Especially a light purple, like Lilac. That's the color of my room at my parent's house," Ronnie said. Ronnie didn't really care if he liked the color purple. She didn't see anything wrong with that at all. Ronnie heard him apologize for rambling and she giggled, "It's okay, really. I don't mind. It's better then having me talk. People tend to get annoyed with me talking all the time." When Ronnie was growing up, she would always try to talk about her day and her mom would tell her to shut up, that her voice was annoying and it would make her upset. She hated when her mom put her down. But that was just the way life went for her. Ronnie looked at Mason, "So, Mason, what's your favorite subject in school?" Ronnie asked him curiously. She had always wondered what everyone's favorite subject was. For her, it was writing and math. She was really good at creative writing and really good at Algebra [/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS ,, 481 TAGGED ,, Open OUTFIT ,, CLICKNOTES ,, eh not my best.. sorry TEMPLATE ,, by ophelia of CAUTION
